How Fast Can A Rhino Run?

image

Rhinos are the largest and heaviest of the land animals after elephants. Many people think rhinos are slow because of their size. However, rhinos can run surprisingly fast when they want or need to. The average speed for a rhino running is around 35-40 km/h (22-25 mph). Some rhinos have been recorded running as fast as 55 km/h (34 mph) in short bursts to escape danger or catch prey. So while they are heavy animals, rhinos are capable of running quite fast when the situation calls for it.
