To boil eggs:
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
- Once the water reaches a boil, remove the pan from the heat, cover and let sit for 12 minutes for hard boiled eggs.
- For soft boiled eggs, let sit for 6 minutes.
- Drain the hot water from the pan and place the eggs in cold water to cool before peeling.
- Peel eggs under cool running water.
For easy peeling, tap each egg all over on a hard surface before peeling to crack the shell.
