To cite a website in text, include the author and date in parentheses at the end of the sentence or wherever citing the source. For example: According to one source, over 50% of marriages in the US end in divorce ("Divorce Statistics," 2021).
If there is no author, use the website name shortened or abbreviated. For example: Divorce rates have been steadily declining since the 1980s (CDC, n.d.).
For the references list, provide the author if available, the title of the web page in quotation marks or italics, the name of the website in italics, the publication date, and the URL. For example:
"Divorce Statistics." CDC, 2021. www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/marriage-divorce.htm.
Or if no author: "Divorce Rates Declining." Mayo Clinic, n.d. www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/adult-health/in-depth/divorce-rates-declining/art-20046080.
