How To Descale Keurig?

image

Mineral buildup from hard water can accumulate inside your Keurig and affect the quality of your brew over time. Regular descaling keeps it running smoothly.

What You'll Need

  • Keurig descaling solution (available at most retailers that sell Keurig machines)
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Empty the water reservoir and remove the water filter, if using one.
  2. Pour the descaling solution into the reservoir according to the package instructions.
  3. Run the descaling cycle with an empty coffee filter pod in the brewer.
  4. Repeat as needed until the solution runs clear.
  5. Rinse by running two rinse cycles with fresh water.
  6. Replace the water filter and fill the reservoir.
  7. Run one more rinse cycle to flush out any remaining solution.
  8. Your Keurig is now descaled and ready for brewing!

For best results, descale your Keurig every 3-6 months.
