Mineral buildup from hard water can accumulate inside your Keurig and affect the quality of your brew over time. Regular descaling keeps it running smoothly.
What You'll Need
- Keurig descaling solution (available at most retailers that sell Keurig machines)
- Water
Instructions
- Empty the water reservoir and remove the water filter, if using one.
- Pour the descaling solution into the reservoir according to the package instructions.
- Run the descaling cycle with an empty coffee filter pod in the brewer.
- Repeat as needed until the solution runs clear.
- Rinse by running two rinse cycles with fresh water.
- Replace the water filter and fill the reservoir.
- Run one more rinse cycle to flush out any remaining solution.
- Your Keurig is now descaled and ready for brewing!
For best results, descale your Keurig every 3-6 months.
