There are a few ways to buy Criterion films in UK shops:
- Many HMV stores carry a selection of Criterion Blu-rays and DVDs. You can check stock availability on their website or visit a store in person.
- Some larger branches of cinema chains like Cineworld and Vue may have a small Criterion section in their DVD/Blu-ray shops.
- Specialty film and media shops could be another option, such as Fopp, Sanity, or specialist independent video stores. These are more likely to have imported Criterion titles.
- You can buy Criterion films from Amazon UK or other online retailers. While selection may be larger, you won't be able to see the packages or discs in person before purchasing.
- Subscribing to the BFI Player streaming service gives you access to a rotating selection of Criterion films without physically buying discs.
- As a last resort, you could try used DVD/Blu-ray shops or websites to find older out-of-print Criterion editions second-hand.
