Making hard boiled eggs is easy and a great way to have a grab-and-go breakfast or snack. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch.
  2. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, remove the pot from the heat, cover and let sit for 12 minutes.
  3. Drain the hot water and rinse the eggs with cold water until cool enough to handle.
  4. Peel the eggs under cool running water or roll each egg on the counter to crack the shell before peeling.
  5. Serve whole or cut in half. Enjoy!

For best results, use eggs at room temperature and don't let boiled eggs sit for more than a week in the fridge.
