Pet battling is a fun minigame that was introduced in Mists of Pandaria. Here are the basics on how to get started:
Catch Wild Pets
Start by finding and catching wild pets around Azeroth. You can find pet families all over the place - insects in forests, aquatic pets near water, etc. Use pet biscuits or traps to catch them.
Level Up Your Pets
With your new pets, battle opposing wild pets or trainers to level them up. level 25 is the max. Higher levels means stronger pets for battles.
Build a Pet Team
Have a balanced team with different pet types - one to deal damage, one to tank hits, one with support abilities. Synergize their skills for effective strategies.
Challenge Other Trainers
Seek out pet trainers in each zone and challenge them to battles. Winning earns you experience, pet charms for rewards, and progress towards earning all the battle pet achievemnts.
Participate in Pet Daily Quests
Speak to pet trainers daily for new quests - capture certain pets, defeat a master trainer, and more. These award pet charms, experience, and sometimes rare battle pets.
