How To Put A Strap On A Ukulele?

To put a strap on a ukulele:

  1. Locate the strap buttons on the sides or back of your ukulele. These will usually be small round or square pieces of plastic, metal, or wood that stick out from the body.
  2. Thread one end of the strap through one of the strap buttons so it hangs down on that side of the ukulele. Make sure it goes through securely and won't slip out.
  3. Thread the other end of the strap through the matching button on the opposite side of the ukulele so it hangs down on that side.
  4. Adjust the length of the strap so it fits comfortably around your body when you're holding the ukulele up to play it.
  5. Secure the ends so they don't slip back through the buttons. You can tie them, add clips or clasps, or secure them with velcro depending on the style of your strap.

That's it - your ukulele strap is now installed and ready to use to play hands-free! Be sure not to over-tighten it as that could damage the buttons over time.
