How To Reconnect Xfinity Remote?

image

If your Xfinity remote has stopped controlling your Xfinity box, there are a few things you can try to reconnect it:

Replace the Batteries

Make sure you are using new alkaline batteries in your remote. Old or low batteries can cause connection issues.

Move Closer to the Xfinity Box

Stand within 20 feet of your Xfinity box when pressing buttons on the remote. Move or remove any items blocking the signal between the remote and box.

Pair the Remote to the Box

On your Xfinity box, go to Settings > Remotes > Pair Remote and follow the on-screen instructions to re-pair the remote.

Reset the Remote

Remove the batteries from the remote for 30 seconds. Replace them and try using it again. This resets the remote and may help it reconnect.

Contact Xfinity Support

If the above steps don't work, call Xfinity or chat with a representative online for help troubleshooting remote connection issues.
