Here are the steps to reset a Sky Q box:

1. Unplug your Sky Q box from the mains power for 30 seconds to drain any residual charge.
2. Plug the Sky Q box back in and wait for the front light to start flashing purple.
3. Use your Sky remote to select "Settings" then "Set-up and Reset"
4. Select "Reset Your Box"
5. Confirm you want to reset your box by selecting "Reset"
6. The box will now reset and reboot - this could take up to 10 minutes to complete
7. Once reset is finished your box will have been reset to factory settings
