How To Reset Schlage Keypad Lock?

Here are the steps to reset a Schlage keypad lock:

1. Remove batteries from the lock (if it uses batteries).
2. Press and hold the "*" button while reinserting batteries. Continue holding "*" until you hear a beep.
3. You will then be prompted to enter a new master code. The Schlage default master code is 1-2-3-4, but you should choose your own unique code for security.
4. Once you've entered a new master code, it will prompt you to re-enter the code to confirm. The lock is now reset.

Once reset, the Schlage lock will only open with the new master code. This clears any previous codes that were programmed into the lock.
