Via the Xbox 360 Dashboard
- From the Xbox 360 dashboard, go to "System Settings."
- Select " console settings."
- Choose "memory."
- Select "Reset console to factory defaults."
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm and reset your console.
Using the Console Reset Button
If your console is unresponsive, you can force a factory reset using the reset button:
- Turn off the console completely.
- Locate the small reset button on the front or side of the console, usually covered by a small door or flap.
- Use a paperclip or other thin object to press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds until the console starts up again.
Your Xbox 360 is now restored to its original factory settings.
