image

Restringing a Husqvarna weed eater is a simple process that just requires a few basic tools.

Tools Needed:

  • New trimmer line
  • Scissors or line cutter

Steps:

  1. Unlock and remove the spool cap or rear shield on the weed eater head.
  2. Remove any existing line and clean out the head.
  3. Cut four equal lengths of new trimmer line, each a bit longer than the length around the spool.
  4. Insert one end of a line into one of the slots on the spool and wind it clockwise around, keeping it taut.
  5. Insert the other end of the line into the empty slot next to it and continue winding until the spool is full.
  6. Trim off any excess line with scissors.
  7. Replace the spool cap or rear shield and lock it back into place.

That's it! Your Husqvarna weed eater should now be fully restrung and ready to go. Be sure to wear protective gear when using it.
