How To Restring A Ryobi Weed Wacker?

image

Restringing a Ryobi weed wacker is a relatively simple process that just takes a few steps:

  1. Cut off the remaining string that is wound around the spool.
  2. Remove the spool cover by releasing the locking button and taking off the cover.
  3. Make sure the string is inserted in the center notch of the spool.
  4. Wind the new string evenly around the spool until you've used up the entire string.
  5. Replace the spool cover by snapping it back into place until it locks into position.
  6. Cut off any excess string that extends past the notch.
  7. Your weed wacker is now restrung and ready to use again!

Be sure to use string specifically made for trimming. Nylon string usually works best. The whole process should only take 5-10 minutes. With regular restringing, your Ryobi weed wacker will stay in good working condition.
