How To Take A Screenshot On Mac?

To take a screenshot on Mac, press Command + Shift + 3 to take a screenshot of the entire screen. This will save the screenshot as a PNG file to your desktop. You can also press Command + Shift + 4 then click and drag to select a portion of the screen to screenshot.

Alternatively, you can use the Grab application pre-installed on Mac. Press Command + Shift + 5 to launch Grab, then select the area you want to screenshot. The screenshot will automatically be copied to your clipboard for pasting into another app or saving to files.

You can also screenshot windows individually. Simply press Command + Shift + 4 then press the spacebar and click on a window to screenshot just that window. This is useful for capturing specific apps without including your entire desktop.

Your Mac also allows screenshotting parts of screens by dragging. Press Command + Shift + 4 then click and drag to select the portion of the screen you want to capture. Let go to take the screenshot of just that area.
